What are hyaluronic fillers?
Hyaluronic fillers, also known as the "substance of youth," are sterile, biodegradable, transparent gels. They are not permanent and very rarely cause allergies, giving them a significant advantage over the previously more commonly used silicone fillers. There are different types of dermal fillers, but fillers with hyaluronic acid are the absolute trend of the 21st century in anti-aging medicine. Hyaluronic fillers can be used to treat almost all areas of the face, neck, décolletage, and hands. The role of hyaluronic acid is to give volume to the face, fill in (static) wrinkles in well-known anti-aging procedures, and contour the face (cheekbones, chin, temporal region), which falls under beautification procedures.
What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that is already present in our skin. It is actually a complex sugar (glycosaminoglycan) found in the connective tissue of our skin and performs important functions: it is capable of binding a large amount of water—hydrating the skin, maintaining skin tone, neutralizing harmful free radicals, and restoring lost fullness and volume. Given that hyaluronic acid is a natural part of our body, it is "recognized" and accepted as compatible, unlike other substances.
What can be treated with hyaluronic fillers?
Hyaluronic fillers are most commonly used to fill in already formed wrinkles for rejuvenation or for volumization (lips, cheekbones, etc.). However, global trends emphasize facial remodeling with a focus on its harmonization, highlighting its three-dimensionality and individuality. This is precisely what we strive for in our daily work with hyaluronic fillers. A detailed facial analysis and the combination of various advanced injection techniques are integral to working with hyaluronic fillers. You might be surprised by the range of areas that can be treated with hyaluronic fillers, which is part of their widespread popularity. Hyaluronic fillers are used for: contouring and enhancing lips, rejuvenating the face and décolletage, nose correction, removing under-eye bags, contouring cheekbones, filling wrinkles around the eyes, rejuvenating hands, lifting cheeks, and eliminating nasolabial folds and smoker's lines.
Hyaluronic fillers for rejuvenation – What is it like and does it hurt?
Facial rejuvenation with hyaluronic fillers doesn't require special preparation; it's only important that you don't have any skin infections or other inflammations and that you're motivated for the procedure. Before the procedure, the skin is cleansed and all makeup is removed. A specialist then applies an anesthetic cream so you won't feel pain. After 15 minutes, the anesthetic is removed, and the hyaluronic fillers are applied to the facial skin using fine needles. Thanks to the anesthetic cream and the skilled hands of our doctor, the pain is minimized, making the treatment pleasant. After just a few needle pricks, the wrinkles gradually disappear, and your skin regains its glow and youthful appearance.
What to do after the treatment?
Recovery after filling wrinkles with hyaluronic fillers is short, and you can immediately return to your daily activities. Mild redness and swelling may occur right after the treatment, but this is a natural reaction and usually subsides within a few hours. It is very important not to touch your face after the procedure and to avoid applying cosmetic products. Additionally, try to avoid exposure to the sun, tanning beds, or extreme cold until the swelling goes down.
When is the right time for hyaluronic fillers, in your 20s or 30s?
Wrinkles are easier to correct when they are just starting to form, which is why it's recommended to begin using fillers as soon as the first fine lines appear. This helps prevent further deepening of the wrinkles. Depending on genetics and lifestyle, wrinkles may appear earlier, around the late 20s, or much later for some people. In general, don't wait for wrinkles to "flood" your face - act immediately.
Hyaluronic fillers for lip correction
Lips have always been a symbol of femininity and the most beautiful adornment of a woman's face. However, nature has not gifted everyone with full, sensual, and beautifully shaped lips. This doesn't mean you have to accept your fate, because now, thanks to hyaluronic fillers, a completely safe and natural substance, you too can have the lips you've dreamed of.
Lip correction with hyaluronic acid – How does it work with us?
The procedure is preceded by consultations and an examination during which our specialist doctor, in agreement with you, defines the details of the treatment that will lead to ideal results. Part of the consultation involves determining the exact amount of hyaluronic fillers to achieve perfect lips. The next step is filling the lips after applying local anesthesia, which will reduce or completely eliminate pain, making the treatment comfortable. The filler is injected into precisely defined spots with fine needle pricks. After just about fifteen minutes, the procedure is finished, and the results are immediately visible. However, on the first day after the injection, there will be swelling that subsides within a few days, revealing the final appearance. For twelve hours after the lip correction procedure, makeup and intense physical activity are not allowed. If there are any lumps or slight asymmetries, corrections are done only after 10-15 days.
What results can you expect after the treatment?
After some time, hyaluronic acid takes effect, and your lips achieve the desired shape. Following lip correction with hyaluronic fillers, you can expect the following results: your lips will be plump, rosy, and natural-looking, the contours of your lips will be emphasized, lip volume will be visibly increased, giving them a sensual and full appearance, and your lips will be properly contoured, clearly defined, enhancing the overall appearance of your face thanks to their fullness.
Are hyaluronic fillers permanent?
Of course not, the results of the treatment can last up to 12 months. After the first injection, the effect of hyaluronic acid lasts the shortest. However, the good news is that with each subsequent application, the hyaluronic acid stays longer in your lips, meaning the effect is more long-lasting. It's also important to note that with each following lip correction treatment, a smaller amount of hyaluronic acid is needed.
